Caitlin's Ellis

Just got this photo back from Drew, it's Caitlin's road frame. She's graciously allowed me to hang onto it for a couple weeks extra, and I'll have it on display at the Handbuilt show later this week.

Just one photo? Oh that is cruel (just kidding)!

Good luck this weekend and safe driving. I expect to see you again in a Velonews article!

I got that one first because I need it for an ad in Mountain Flyer magazine. Your frame is gonna be a SUPERSTAR!

Thanks for the good wishes, I'll be in touch when we get back.

Cheers,
Dave

Damn I think I started a orange and white Ellis trend... With that said since everyone wants those colors now thus making mine look generic... I say it is time for some Ellis cycling caps and jerseys in Orange and white but in my orange and white so I can match my bike. I am trying to color coordinate these days.

You just got the orange bike first, sorry not a trendsetter!

But I agree on the kit ideas. And this is actually Eduardo orange, not Travis orange!

I'm pretty sure the two bikes will not cross paths anytime soon.

Ha, ha, I am joking, I think all bikes should be orange. Or at least the Ellis team colors should be changed to orange and white instead of blue.

Maybe we should form the EOOG (Ellis Orange Owners' Group) with a special blog entry of the EOOG bikes. I think I recall a preview of another fork which was also an orange tint. Interestingly, they have subtle differences in paint scheme (panel/no panel/red accents/cream vs. white/slightly different tints, etc).

At least pick one of the orange tints and call it "Ellis Orange."

The Ellis orange can be traced to my Dutch ancestry! You may be onto something with the jerseys, we'll see...

Now I gotta finish packing for NAHBS, we're leaving early tomorrow morning to beat the Chicago traffic.

Black is the new orange.
